Assistance with Daily Living

AnormalTuesday,stillyours.

Everyday support that fits around the life you already have — not the other way around.

Notaservice.Arhythm.

Daily Living support is the quiet kind — help with the parts of the day that add up to a life, not a single visible task. Getting ready. Eating well. Getting to the shops. Having someone who already knows how you like things done.

It's built around your week, not a roster — which is why it tends to disappear into the background of a good day, exactly where it should be.

Questions

Worthasking,beforeyoustart.

Wherever possible, yes — consistency is the point. A rotating cast of strangers isn't daily living support, it's just staffing. You'll meet and approve your worker before day one.

That's the starting point, not an afterthought. We ask what your week already looks like, then fit support into it — not the other way around.

They usually do. Your plan has some flexibility built in, and your coordinator or support worker can adjust the shape of a visit without needing a whole new plan.

Yes — shopping, appointments, and community access are all part of Daily Living support, not a separate service you need to arrange elsewhere.

It can be. Everyday help like this is generally funded from the Core Supports budget (called Assistance with Daily Life) where the NDIA has decided it is reasonable and necessary, but every plan is different. Your plan, planner or support coordinator can confirm what yours includes, and we can help you work out what to ask.
